Within our simulation suite, we have a mock patient bedroom as well as simulation manikins, including adults, young children, babies and a pregnant woman.
The manikins are helping our trainee doctors, newly qualified nurses and clinical support staff to be prepared for problem-solving in the clinical setting by putting them under scenario pressures in real time.
The models are operated from a remote laptop in adjoining room. Our Trust trainers use innovative training and assessment methods – mimicking medical problems and responding to treatments and medication choices to inspire staff and ensure they are correctly applying evidence based practice for use in real clinical settings.
