The GP Engagement and Networking event is a free event that allows local GPs and primary care colleagues to network and engage with each other and with secondary care hospital consultants, specialists and professionals.
This is an opportunity for primary and secondary care to work together to share best practice, new care pathways and to troubleshoot upcoming or ongoing care requirements.
Overview
Our organisations GP event has been running since 2019, with a mix of physical and online ran sessions. They are currently hosted by Dr Catherine Monaghan, and attended by representatives from H&SH.
Past events have included discussion topics on:
- Challenges in the colorectal two-week rule referrals
- Iron deficiency anaemia
- Children and young people and the two-day asthma review
- Rapid diagnostic service
- Troubleshooting and discussion around shared pressures
Here are just a couple of the things GPs have had to say about past events:
It is wonderful to have sight of those people we speak to week-by-week within the Trust.
It is as simple as being able to put names to faces to enhance our working relationships.
It’s a really goo initiative to allow us to see the clear pathways we can work with to best care for our patients.
