David Gallagher

David has more than 40 years’ experience in the NHS starting as a diagnostic radiographer and working in senior clinical, operational and executive leadership roles across provider, commissioning and integrated care organisations. Following roles as accountable officer at Sunderland and then Tees Valley CCGs he most recently served as chief contracting and procurement officer at the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board. He brings significant expertise in healthcare strategy, governance, transformation and partnership working across the North East. David is a member of UHT’s quality committee and resources and performance committee
