Friends and Family Survey
The Trust has collected this valued feedback from our patients and their relatives or carers for many years. It is important that we use your experience to improve our services for the communities and populations we serve.
The Friends and Family survey gives you a great opportunity to comment on your care.
After your appointment or stay with us, you will receive a text with a link to a brief online survey with the opportunity to offer your honest feedback. To opt out of this service, please contact the patient experience team.
Alternatively, if you prefer there are paper forms available in all wards and departments in the Trust for you to complete and leave with ward staff or deliver to the PET office.
We appreciate you taking a couple of minutes to complete our short survey if you are a patient who has:
- Stayed at least one night in one of our hospitals
- Attended our emergency department and left without being admitted to a ward
- Attended our emergency department and were transferred to a medical assessment unit before being discharged
- Attended an outpatients department
- Received one of our community-based services
We already gather patient feedback in a number of other ways to help us continually improve our services, but the friends and family test helps us to improve even further. It is another way for us to gain feedback to make sure we are providing the best patient experience we possibly can.
Other Patient Surveys
We take part in the annual Care Quality Commission (CQC) National Patient Survey Programme to help us gain a deeper insight in the experience of our patients, their relatives and carers. We also carry out local surveys about the care, services and treatment we provide. We use this valuable feedback to help improve the care we provide as well as to celebrate and share what we do well.
