Single Children’s SALT service for Tees Valley: ‘Tees Valley Children & Young People Speech & Language Therapy Service’
From April 2025 Children and Young People’s Speech and Language Therapy Services for South Tees and North Tees and Hartlepool have been commissioned as a single service across the Tees Valley, covering local authority areas for Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland and Stockton.
We are working diligently to combine our two services to offer the best care possible for our population.

Please continue to use current referral forms.
Other email addresses and contact telephone numbers remain unchanged for general queries and EHCP correspondence/assessment requests. We are aiming to develop a single point of access in the near future and will update you as soon as we can.
We are working hard to improve and update our offer and are collaborating with service users and stakeholders. Our new Tees Valley Service serves more than 8,000 children and young people across the Tees Valley.
County Durham services
From 1st April 2025, County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust became the new provider of the NHS Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Service for patients in County Durham.
