Occupational therapy

Our occupational therapy team provide adults and children with assessments, treatment and advice and information to help them from unnecessarily having to be brought into hospital, hospice or residential care.

The team who work in our hospitals and the community will carry out an assessment to see how they can help you to live as independently as possible. We will set you goals and a plan for rehabilitation.  Sometimes we might have to provide you with equipment and make adjustments to help you.

We understand that an illness and injury can affect not only your life, but your family, friends or carers. We are here to support you all. You will be referred to us by your consultant, nurse, or allied health professional.  Our team work in many different specialities, some work extended hours and some provide care seven days a week.

From day one I was accepted and above all listened to. You helped me get my life back on track.
