North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust has joined forces with Help for Heroes to invite local armed forces veterans and their families to a free coffee morning.
Taking place on Thursday 29 February at the University Hospital of North Tees, Tees Meeting Room (near the Tees Restaurant) from 11am to 2pm, the drop in session is open to all veterans of any branch of the armed forces and reserves.
Challenges
The Trust’s head of volunteering Paul Wharton said: “We know veterans can sometimes face challenges and tackle issues that most of us never have to deal with so I was really pleased with the support offered by our local Trusts and Help for Heroes about hosting a simple coffee morning to engage with veterans and their families.
”It’s a chance to chat, meet other veterans, take some time out from their daily routine and seek support if they need it.
“It’s the least we can do to thank them for their service.”
Partners
Our partner trusts (South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, and Tees Esk and Wear Valley Foundation Trust) will also be hosting coffee mornings
Veterans do not need to book but can contact: [email protected] or 01642 383933 for more information.
