We are hosting an open day for those with an interest in pursuing a career in health care.
The Trust is one of the biggest employers in the Teesside area, with interesting and rewarding career options that many people may never have even heard of.
On Thursday 19 May, 10am to 2pm, the organisation will open its doors to inspire a new wave of future nurses and allied health professionals, both qualified and unqualified.
While nurses provide day-to-day care and medical treatment, allied health professionals adopt a holistic approach to care in order to assess, treat, diagnose and discharge patients. Making up the third largest workforce in the NHS, roles include, but are not limited to:
- Radiographers
- Dietitians
- Occupational therapists
- Physiotherapists
- Speech and language therapists
Our open event boasts staff from a range of disciplines who will be on hand to showcase the career opportunities available within an acute NHS Trust. Apprenticeship opportunities are also available.
Jean Angus, head of nursing education at the Trust, said: “We have a fantastic range of careers in nursing and allied health care roles that we’re proud to be sharing with the future generation of NHS staff.
“We’d like to invite everyone with an interest in health and care to come along and meet our friendly colleagues.
“Who knows? You could just be one conversation away from a new career.”
