Our charity is celebrating its achievements so far and has set out its vision for the future – as it hits a milestone quarter of century since its creation.
It has been 25 years since the charity at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust was first formed.
Over that time tens of millions of pounds has been raised for frontline patient care and to support staff wellbeing across the organisation.
To mark the anniversary date, staff and the community across the Tees Valley are being set a ’25 Challenge’ to complete something to help raise money.
Staff have already signed up to run 25 miles, do 25 keepy ups, write a 25 line poem and carry out 25 good deeds – as well as many more ‘25’ related challenges.
How are charity donations used?
Suzi Campbell, fundraising co-ordinator, said: “Looking back at donations we have received over the last 25 years, it truly is overwhelming the impact our community have had on this organisation.
“People are so grateful for the care they receive from our amazing staff and they want to show their thanks. We receive around £500,000 every year and it is so humbling to see.
“To help celebrate 25 years of the charity, we are setting staff and our community a challenge. And we will be showing our thanks to everyone who has fundraised and donated to us over that time.
“We will always have the funding we need to deliver outstanding patient care. But what this extra money does is allow us to do even more for both patients and staff.”
Suzi continued: “Over the 18 months we have seen through fundraising efforts of people like the great Captain Tom Moore what an impact this can have. From this funding, we have created wellbeing areas in both of our hospital sites.
“These people are an inspiration and we want to celebrate them.
“Our vision over the next few months and years is to expand and do more, for the good of everyone across the Tees Valley.”
The Trust will be posting updates with highlights from the last 25 years, showing how funding has been used as well as more information about the ’25 Challenge’.
