As you may be aware, we will soon be officially launching our Faculty of Leadership, Learning and Improvement.
The Faculty, first created two years ago, has led on exciting initiatives such as NTH100 (formerly 100 Leaders), our health academy and quality improvement.
One of the key pieces of feedback from our work last year ‘Our Trust, Our Future’ was in relation to understanding what our offer is in terms of education and development, for all staff.
This is a direct response to that, we want to share with you the opportunities and talk to you about investing in yourself.
Why should I attend this event?
The Faculty is your one stop shop for staff to seek advice, guidance and support with:
- Quality improvement
- Leadership development
- Training and education
- Apprenticeship, T-Level and work experience opportunities
- Innovation
- Organisational development
- Equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI)
- Patient safety incident response framework (PSIF)
This is your opportunity to ask questions, and to see how the Faculty can support you with your career ambitions.
What and who can you expect to speak with at the event as part of The Faculty?
Health and Social Care Academy –
Our upcoming training facility located at University Hospital of Hartlepool, in partnership with Hartlepool College of Further Education and Hartlepool Borough Council will offer state of the art simulation training, apprenticeships and soft skills training for our staff and local organisations
Our Apprenticeship Team –
As well as offering individual career development opportunities, apprenticeships help ensure that we have a sustainable workforce model for the future. The team will be available to talk about the options available for staff and teams. Since May 2017 we have supported over 600 apprenticeship starts.
Leadership Development –
In 2022 our Trust launched our leadership programme ‘It all starts with me’ for every member of staff within the organisation. The programme outcomes are to improve self-awareness and emotional intelligence; understand how your behaviour impacts those around you; and develop an understanding of civility and the impact on patient care. Come and chat to those delivering the programme and understand your next steps.
Quality Improvement (QI):
The Trust is committed to continuous Quality Improvement (QI). Meet with the teams who work to ensure staff are equipped with the skills to support them in implementing, sustaining and spreading change and create a culture of continuous improvement.
We look forward to welcoming you on the day.
