What to expect
Following your initial assessment, you may be provided with an appropriate piece of equipment if you need it. In some cases there may be no need for treatment or a device. In this case, we may give you advice about how to manage your condition.
If you are given a device, you may just need to use it for a short time until you have recovered and no longer need it. Sometimes, devices are required longer term.
If a device is needed, it’s likely we’ll take measurements and impressions or casts.
You will be offered a further appointment to fit the device to make sure it right for you and your condition. We’ll provide you with all the advice and information you need on how to wear it.
You’ll be offered a review appointment, which will either be at one of our clinics, over the phone or via video consultation.
Making a referral
You will be referred to us by a hospital health professional.
