We are hosting an event to gather the views of local people about their experiences of hospital discharge.
The event, which takes places at Billingham Forum on Wednesday 11 September, 10am to 2pm, will explore discharge processes on hospital wards, post-discharge experiences of care and the levels of support for carers and carers’ experience during discharge.
Improvements
Kenneth Achinewhu, the Trust’s lived experience lead, said: “This special event will allow us to look at how we can make improvements and make the discharge process smoother while still providing the best care.
“My role is focussed on bringing people into Trust life, to learn from them and to create and deliver improvements alongside the public. They are our patients while under our care but our partners at every other time.
“We can’t do this alone. We absolutely need the input of the very people who use our services.
“I want to hear from as many people as people about how they experienced being discharged from hospital, positive or negative. The more we hear, the more we learn.”
