A team of volunteer drivers are helping our staff give something back as we continue with a campaign to collect goods for local foodbanks.
A few weeks ago we launched our campaign to repay our community for the love and support shown since the COVID-19 outbreak – by giving generously to those in need of food and supplies.
Since then, many of our staff have been spending that little extra when they go shopping and contributing to various collection points across the organisation.
Our dedicated team of volunteer drivers then take the supplies to several local foodbanks in Stockton and Hartlepool.
Kenny Tucker, a retired welder, has been volunteering over the last few months.
He said: “It’s a fantastic initiative to be involved in. We are helping give something back to the NHS and to the local community.
“This is what volunteering is all about, I absolutely love every minute of it. The pleasure of helping and offering any support I can to those most in need.
“I know the impact this help is having on those who need it and it’s thanks to staff for giving so generously.”
