A dedicated telephone line has been set up for women who are expecting – to help with any ante-natal or post-natal queries they may have during their pregnancy.
Telephone consultations are being performed where appropriate by consultants, community midwives and specialist midwives. Women are also being offered appointments over the phone, where appropriate, from a consultant or specialist midwife.
The midwifery team said: “Women who are pregnant and expecting understandably have concerns which we can conveniently and quickly answer over the phone. The dedicated phone number means all concerns are addressed through a single point of assess which provides capacity within our teams to focus on other responsibilities.”
