A balanced diet and regular exercise are the focus of a health promotion team’s latest monthly campaign.
Staff in centralised outpatients at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust started the new initiative last month with support and advice around stopping smoking.
This month the team of promotion champions are highlighting the importance of being active and having a balanced diet.
Support and advice is on offer in waiting areas for staff and patients. The catering team are also offering out free fruit and vegetables.
Lisa Tomlinson, nursing associate and health promotion lead, said: “As social distancing measures ease and people start to return to more of a routine with their lives, the team wanted to put the focus on healthy eating, drinking and exercise.
“There will be information about different, help support and advice on offer across the waiting areas in our various outpatient departments across North Tees and Hartlepool.
“I am really proud of all of the health promotion champions who have, yet again, created some fantastic displays with some fantastic help from the catering team.”
