Bereavement counsellor Julie Somerset has been recognised with the latest Star of the Month award. Given for the enormous empathy she displays supporting staff, patients and relatives at what is often one of the most challenging time of their lives.
Julie was nominated by a member of staff who experienced the loss of her granddaughter. As well as other family bereavements.
She describes Julie as being: “completely committed to her role, empathetic, inspires confidence and nothing is too much trouble.”
“Julie has assisted me in rationalising difficulties and coming to terms with bereavements in the worst time of my life where I felt completely bereft. She guided me to explore and focus on outcomes and solutions which improved my emotional health and well-being.”
Julie Somerset had her award presented to her by Deputy People Officer Gary Wright.
