Today we hosted Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Matt Hancock at University Hospital of North Tees.
Our staff spoke with Mr Hancock about their achievements, innovations and aspirations for improved facilities at the site.
The Secretary of State was taken on a patient journey from a ward to the Trust endoscopy department to help him understand the challenges an ageing estate brings.
He met with colleagues in our Clinical Sterile Services Team who spoke about our reusable gowns.
Mr Hancock then visited the A&E department where staff discussed their aspirations for an estate as ambitious as the workforce.
The visit was part of a small tour around the North East.
