North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust is appealing to local people to share their experiences of health care to improve services for the future.
The Trust has launched its Involvement Bank; a new patient-led group which will:
- take part in visits and inspections
- attend meetings, workshops and events
- provide feedback and stories based on your treatment
- design surveys
- take part in research projects
- design patient pathway and quality improvement projects
- support staff recruitment
- develop training for staff
- share ideas on how we could improve our services
We need your experience
Lived experience lead Kenneth Achinewhu said: “We recognise that patients, their carers, relatives, and the general population we support should be involved in decisions about the services they use.
“They have the experience, knowledge and skills to bring about change that is effective and long lasting.
“We are committed to learning from our patients. How else can we truly learn and improve?
“Joining the Involvement Bank doesn’t take much of anyone’s time but it will have a huge impact on how we serve the community for years to come.
“I firmly believe you have to work with people to work for people.”
The Trust is keen to hear from local people who can spare some time to take part in the Involvement Bank and play a role in the continuing development of local clinical services.
