A health trust highlighted the work of clinical teams improving patient care as part of special annual event, Celebrating Excellence.
North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust hold the yearly event to celebrate achievements.
The event was held at the University Hospital of North Tees lecture theatre but streamed virtually to staff.
It included gold standard accreditations for three teams delivering outstanding patient care, presented by the trust’s non-executive director Steve Hall.
These were given to the critical care unit, the elderly care unit (ward 40) and the antenatal and postnatal unit – all based at the University Hospital of North Tees.
In her closing remarks, chief executive Julie Gillon said: “This event is a chance for us to celebrate all of the fantastic work of staff across the organisation.
“Congratulations to the teams who received gold standard clinical accreditation – this is real reward for everything they have achieved over the last year. They have been an outstanding example of teams who always strive to learn and improve.
“I would also like to thank our staff for your dedication and commitment to patient care.”
The event on Friday (23 October) also included a farewell to chief nurse Julie Lane who marked her last day at the organisation after 38 years’ dedicated NHS service.
Mrs Gillon added: “Lastly, thank you to Julie for everything you have done for the NHS and patients inyour career. You have achieved so much and have been a fantastic companion and colleague. Thank you.”
