Healthcare Commission performance ratings published
North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust has been rated as making significant improvements in the Healthcare Commission’s annual health check.
The Healthcare Commission became part of the new Care Quality Commission on 1 April. The trust has been rated good for quality of services (compared to fair last year) and excellent for use of resources (compared to fair last year). The trust queried one part of the assessment because it felt it affected the rating.

Patient reported outcome measures (PROMs)

We're working with the Department of Health on a system to find out what your views are before you come into hospital for certain operations. When you've had your operation we'd like to contact you again and ask if things went as you expected, if the operation helped to decrease your pain and improve your quality of life. If you’re due to come into one of our hospitals for a hip or knee replacement or revision, varicose vein or groin hernia operation we're inviting you to take part.
