Surgical Interventions:

I offer all shoulder and elbow surgery under regional local anaesthetic block only, meaning the patient can stay awake during surgery and does not require an anaesthetic. You can still have a General Anaesthetic for surgery, if you wish to do so.

I offer TOPAZ for tennis elbow under local anaesthetic.

Arthroscopic shoulder and elbow surgery. Shoulder and elbow replacements.



I have an interest in research, producing publications in my field, recruiting to active

trials and acting as Principal Investigator for National Orthopaedic Trials.

Current Active Trails – ASCRIBED, AIR, UKSTAR, UKFROST.


Training and Education:

I keep up-to-date with my practice attending regular meetings and courses.

I am involved in education of medical professionals ranging from Medical School

students to speciality Orthopaedic  trainees within the North East region.

Current trainer for Foundation  Year and GP trainee doctors, Core Surgical Trainees, Higher Surgical Trainees and Post-CCT Fellow.
