Emma Tindall

Surgical Care Practitioner

I was previously an Operating Department practitioner (ODP) graduating from University of Birmingham in 2002. I progressed to the role of Surgical Care Practitioner (SCP) in 2010 working at South Tees NHS Foundation Hospital and attending Teesside University completing my Post Graduate Diploma in 2012. I continued in this role until I moved to North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust in 2016.

I have a specific interest and work in upper limb orthopaedics alongside the upper limb team taking part in clinics seeing New and review patients and have my own recently set up Shoulder dislocation clinic. This service provides a streamlined pathway for first time and recurrent dislocators.

My role involves assisting the Surgeons with procedures in the operating theatre and providing a link between the surgical team and the operating department for smooth running of lists. I actively take part in audit and research projects to enhance patient care and services.
