We provide services for children and young people at the University Hospital of North Tees and the University Hospital of Hartlepool.
We have a day unit at the University Hospital of North Tees and the University Hospital of Hartlepool.
University Hospital of North Tees
The 10 bed day unit at the University Hospital of North Tees is next to the ward. Our full paediatric team provide care to those who have been referred to us by accident and emergency, GPs, nurse practitioners, midwives and health visitors.
We also look after children and young people who might need:
- minor surgery
- immunisations
- blood tests
- investigations and procedures
The unit is open between 8am and 9pm Monday to Friday.
University Hospital of Hartlepool
We provide a range of elective day case services for children and young people at the University Hospital of North Tees and the University Hospital of Hartlepool.
Our nurse led paediatric day unit’s enables us to care for children and young people in the right place, at the right time, in the right setting.
