Enthusiastic ward staff at a Teesside trust have scrambled together to raise funds for charity this Easter time.
Wards 32 and 33 at the University Hospital of North Tees have done an egg-cellent job raising funds for charity with two Easter raffles and an Easter bonnet competition.
The teams had 34 eggstravagant easter egg prizes in their egg raffle, along with a cracking general raffle with lovely hampers, football and cricket event tickets and other prizes to be won. Staff and patients also took the time to create some beautiful Easter Bonnets.
Ward Clerk Carol Conlin helped organise the raffle and said: “We have managed to sell many tickets this year to staff, visitors, friends and family and we’re so grateful to everyone who bought some and took part in our Easter bonnet competition in aid of some brilliant causes.
We’ve had so many generous donations for the raffle prizes and I’m so pleased with the lovely Easter bonnets that we’ve had staff and patients create.”
Two charities will now benefit from well over £1600 raised. The majority of the funds will go in aid of Teesside MS Society and the rest to Mandale Care Home in Thornaby which were chosen by staff this year.
Well done to all involved on such a brilliant amount!
