Teaming up with Parkrun to get staff and community moving more

The trust teamed up with Parkrun on Saturday as part of a campaign to get staff and the community moving more.

The employee engagement and physiotherapy teams have been working with local events at Hartlepool and Tees Barrage to help encourage more people to get involved.

Josh Lincoln, who was one of the physios available to help with health advice and support, said: “It was fantastic to see and speak to so many people on Saturday morning.

“This campaign is all about encouraging staff and the community to move more – initiatives like Parkrun are a fantastic example of how this can be done successfully.

“The trust’s #ToTheMoonAndBack campaign challenges both staff and the community to do at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise a day. We are encouraging people to use the hashtag after they have recorded their distance and help us cover the 768,800km target!

“Encouraging people to be more aware of the need to look after their health really is the answer – preventing any issues before they start.”
