Healthcare staff are invited to a free regional event hosted by the Scan4Safety team at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.
The trust is one of six demonstrator sites in the NHS for the Scan4Safety programme. By 2020, all NHS trusts will have to adopt the GS1/PEPPOL standards as mandated by the Department of Health in order to improve safety and efficiency throughout the organisation.
The Scan4Safety programme allows accurate data collection around people, products and places within the NHS, enabling better informed clinical decisions and leading to a reduction in errors and the streamlining of processes.
Scan4Safety is about improving patient safety by having the right patient, right products when and where you need it. Knowing what products were used, with which patient and when.
The event will take place on the 24 April 9am-1pm in the lecture theatre, Middlefield Centre, University Hospital of North Tees, Hardwick, Stockton on Tees, TS19 8PE.
The team can also be contacted on 01642 624782.
