Relative sends heartfelt thanks for mum’s care

The family of a patient have written a heartfelt message to a healthcare assistant to thank her for her care.

Micaela Waldby was sent a touching note by the daughter of a patient who she helped during a recent appointment in orthopaedic outpatients at the University Hospital of North Tees.

The note said: “I just wanted to say a huge thank you for helping us out on Wednesday in the disabled toilet with my mum. You went above and beyond your job role and we so appreciated it.

“Enclosed is a gesture for you as you so deserve it. We would also like to thank everyone else that helped us out – including the ortho reception ladies, main reception lady and security. Thank you so much again.”

Ward matron Tracy Maddison said: “This note is so heartwarming to read. It’s fantastic for the team to receive such amazing feedback and is a sign of the appreciation patients have for them all.

“Congratulations to Micaela and the whole team!”
