  1. Violence on staff – campaign success so far

The launch of the trust’s new Respect campaign – using staff’s children to appeal to people to keep their parents safe at work – has gone national this week. It’s been viewed by more than 80,000 people on Facebook and  Twitter, been shared with other health trusts and had national and local media interest including from the BBC, ITV and the Nursing Times #ProtectTheProtectors

  1. Launch of new hair and beauty venture

The launch of Cutting Edge @NTH – part of a new partnership the trust now has with Stockton Riverside College – was held last Friday. See more on the website or why not go for a visit yourself!

  1. Lighting up blue and red for special causes

Over the last week the north wing at North Tees has been shining bright for two causes – red for remembrance day and blue for diabetes awareness. See here and here

  1. Top performing trust in the country!

The lung cancer team has been awarded for improvements made to the patient pathway – helping improving the time patients are treated in. See  Facebook

The trust has had three pieces of work shortlisted for the Bright Ideas in Health Awards at the end of the month, recognising innovation and improvement. See Facebook

  1. Touring the labs

The pathology service opened its doors for public and staff tours of the service last week. You can see the photos on Facebook

  1. Flu awareness in elective care

Ward 4 at Hartlepool have been highlighting to staff, patients and visitors about the importance of being protected against the flu this winter. See Facebook
