A memorial service is being held for bereaved families who have been affected by the loss of a baby or child.
Hospital chaplains at the trust are holding the annual service on Sunday 3 May at 3pm in the chapel at the University Hospital of North Tees, to allow families the time and space to remember their babies and the very special place they will always hold in their lives.
Lead hospital chaplain Lorraine Millar said: “The memorial service aims to help and support families as they journey through their loss and grief. The loss of a baby or child has a devastating effect on parents and families lives and on their hopes for the future, so it is an important part of their grieving and healing process to be able to acknowledge that their baby or child was a significant part of their life and will never be forgotten.”
Refreshments will be available following the service.
If you would like more information about the service please contact the hospital chaplains on 01642 383138 or the bereavement officers on 01642 383286.
