Local woman knits clothes for premature babies

These are just some of the many beautiful items of clothing a local woman has knitted for tiny babies born at the trust.

Maureen Wilkinson has spent hours and hours creating outfits for premature babies born at the University Hospital of North Tees.
Maureen wanted to help the families of premature babies while also showing her gratitude to the trust for the care given to some her friends and family members.
Pam Cushin works in the urgent care centre and is friends with Maureen.
Pam said: “We are so grateful for everything Maureen has done – these clothes are beautiful and she has spent so much time knitting them all.
“I am sure all of the parents whose babies receive one will be very appreciative. Thank you so much.”
Nicola Grieves, the trust’s urgent care clinical lead, bought Maureen some flowers as a small gesture of thanks on behalf of staff.
