Thank you to all the staff who came to our listening event this week to share views and ideas.
The theme of the event was winter pressures; what we did well, and how we can improve.
There were a number of key stalls at the event highlighting what went well in their areas last winter and what they think can be improved this year. Each stall had feedback forms so the staff at the event could also leave their ideas.
Associate director of operations, anaesthetic, in hospital and urgent and emergency care services and EPRR , Sally Thompson, who is also responsible for winter planning at the trust, said “it was great to see so many people from all levels of our organisation calling into the event to have their say. Last winter was particularly tough for the NHS, and these pressures affected everyone across the trust, so we all have something to contribute. It’s important we learn what went well and what we could have done better every year so we can be even better prepared for the next winter season.
“We’ve already received lots of useful feedback from today, which we are collating for evaluation and we’ll share this learning with the trust soon.”
Staff who couldn’t make the event can still have their say using our sli.do poll. You can find the code on the news round up or speak to the communications team if you would like to be involved!
