Marjorie, the co-ordinator for the Stockton on Tees branch of Project Linus, said: “Project Linus is a volunteer organisation, where we aim to provide a sense of security and comfort to sick and distressed children across the UK through the provision of homemade patchwork quilts. All of our quilts are donated and lovingly made by the local residents and distributed to the local community.
“It’s fantastic to know that these quilts will be given to these brave children who will really appreciate them.”
Ward matron in the children’s ward Vicki Whitfield said: “We are so grateful to Project Linus for donating these beautiful blankets. We have lots of patients who spend a lot of time in the ward and who would be thrilled to be given one of these blankets to keep.
