New mums are being offered the opportunity to reflect on their experiences of pregnancy and the birth of their baby as North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust launches its Reflections Service.
Reflections offers any woman who has had a baby with the Trust a private appointment with a midwife to discuss their personal experiences.
Steph El-Malak, Head of Midwifery at the Trust, said: “Reflections helps women express their feelings and provides clarity if they have any questions, following the birth of their baby
“Pregnancy can be a very emotional experience if you have questions or worries, our Reflections team are here to provide that support.”
Appointments are available at the University of Hospital of Hartlepool and the University Hospital of North Tees.
Any woman who has had a baby with the Trust is invited to make a Reflections appointment six weeks after the birth by calling 01642 382718 or email: email@example.com.
