Cancer information centre
The cancer information centres at the University Hospital of North Tees and the University Hospital of Hartlepool provide a confidential service for anyone with questions or concerns about cancer.
With a main centre at the University Hospital of North Tees and a satellite location at the University Hospital of Hartlepool, the service is staffed by two cancer information specialists funded by the charity Macmillan Cancer Support.
The centres offer booklets, leaflets and other sources of information free of charge, and visitors can also access welfare benefits and financial advice. No appointment is necessary and all are welcome – whether they have a cancer diagnosis, are worried about cancer or are visiting on behalf of a friend or relative.
Our partnership with Macmillan has allowed us to be able to give more help and advice to people affected by cancer.
